WE LOSE MORE CHILDREN every year to accidents than to birth defects or disease, and thousands more are crippled for life. Most accidents are caused by “careless” people, and many of these could have been eliminated by investing time and money in accident prevention. Starting with the very young, an attitude of safety must be achieved. But how do we instill an attitude of safety, and are we willing to invest ourselves and our resources in safety education?
